Experience the beauty of Cyprus – and make it a stay to remember
Places to Go
Whilst you are staying at Mazotos Panoramic Village, there are many places that you can visit, both locally and further afield. So long as you have hired a car - which we would always recomend - your closeness to the Cyprus motorway network means that you can reach most parts of the island within less than 2 hours. We detail below some of the places that you might like to visit during your stay.
-
Kiti Town
Just over 10km from Mazotos Panoramic Village, Kiti is an easy 11-minute drive. Head to the Camel Park junction and turn left toward Larnaca.
The town offers a variety of restaurants, bars, and cafes—try Tamala Cafe Bar or Jacksons Gastro Cafe-Bar, both popular for indoor and outdoor dining (booking may be needed). You’ll also find supermarkets (including Lidl), local shops, and the Bank of Cyprus in the town centre.
-
Atlantis Gardens
A short drive down to the coast road towards Zygi brings you to Atlantis Gardens, a luxury beachfront resort with apartments and villas. The complex features beautifully landscaped gardens, a main pool with a separate children’s pool, a bar-restaurant, spa and massage facilities, and a children’s playground.

Well worth a visit. -
Larnaca and Limassol
Mazotos Panoramic Village is ideally located between two major cities: Larnaca (22km, ~30 mins) and Limassol (55km, ~50 mins).
Both offer beautiful beaches, shops, restaurants, and cafés. Larnaca is often preferred for its Blue Flag beaches like Finikoudes and MacKenzie, plus smoother traffic flow.
Parking can be challenging in both cities, so consider the local bus services for an authentic and stress-free travel option. A new shopping mall in Larnaca also adds to its appeal.
-

Nicosia is located approximately 56km from Mazotos Panoramic Village, and thanks to the efficient motorway network, the journey typically takes around 55 minutes by car.
-
Mazotos Camel Park
The Mazotos Camel Park is one of the most popular family attractions in Cyprus and is well-known and clearly signposted across the island. Conveniently located less than 1km from your apartment, it's a perfect nearby outing for all ages.
Famous for its friendly camels and camel rides, the park also houses a variety of other animals for children to enjoy, making it an engaging and educational experience. Visitors can explore the mini-zoo, interact with animals, and enjoy a day full of outdoor fun.

Larnaca Salt Lakes
The Larnaca Salt Lake is one of the most important habitats for waterfowl in Europe. The lake is actually one of four lakes in Larnaca collectively covering a total area of 1.761 hectares.
As the lake fills with water and becomes rich in nutrients during the winter months, thousands of migrating birds including the Greater Flamingo stop over between November and March, feeding on tiny brine shrimp. When food reserves run out, the birds continue their journey to Africa. The Hala Sultan Tekke overlooking the Salt Lake is considered to be one of the most important holy places of worship for Muslims, ranked immediately after Mecca, Medina in Saudi Arabia and Al Aksha in Jerusalem.
-
Troodos Mountains
Nestled in the heart of Cyprus, the Troodos Mountains can easily be reached by car from Mazotos. Once there, the visitor soon realises this is a unique part of the island. You will also find many hiking trails and cycling routes as well as relaxing drives and authentic Cypriot tavernas. The main mountain in the Troodos range is Mount Olympus at 1,952 Metres. Near the summit is Troodos village with restaurants, shops and stunning views of the island.

Northern Cyprus
Although the TRNC is only recognised by Turkey, it does contain some of the most beautful parts of the island of Cyprus. For adventurous guests, it is fairly easy to drive across the border and visit these areas. But remember that not all car hire companies will allow you to travel across the border and even if they do, you will need to buy separate insurance at the crossing point for driving in the TRNC. There are many sites to visit in North Cyprus including the harbour and castle of Kyrenia (Girne); the walled city of Famagusata (Gazimagusa); Bellapais Abbey; a number of crusader castles; the Karpas peninsula and the roman ruins of Salamis. It will take you around 1 hour 30 minutes (80km) to get to Kyrenia (Girne) on the north Cyprus coast.
-
Stavrovouni Monastery
Located on the top of a large craggy hill (750m), Stavrovouni Mosastery is an imposing sight. Built in around 328 AD, which makes it one of the oldest monasteries in the world. Stavrovouni is a Greek Orthodox monastery and it claims to hold a piece of the Holy Cross on which Jesus Christ was crucified, along with other relics, frescoes and icons. At present, monks in Stavrovouni live a very strict form of monastic life, similar to that of the monks on Mount Athos. Women are not allowed to enter the main part of the monastery, but they are allowed to visit the chapel out of it on the top of the hill. Today there are over 30 monks living in the monastery.
-
Fig Tree Bay
Located in Protaras on the South East corner of the island, Fig Tree Bay is one of the most beautiful and popular of Cyprus’s many splendid beaches. The water is crystal clear, with fine white sand, Fig Tree Bay is ideal for swimming, snorkelling, water sports or simply sun bathing. There are a range of bars and restaurants and plenty of parking but be warned, in the high season you’ll need to arrive early to get your spot on the beach, such is its popularity.
